How we work
Regardless of the size of the project, a dedicated methodology is required to ensure the success of the project. Solution delivery is at the core of every successful consulting project. To ensure success, Morphate has a proven, best-practice methodology.
Using the information gathered from these workshops, Morphate will provide a Recommendation Pack, which includes the high-level solution design, new process maps, implementation costs and a module/phases breakdown for your implementation.
Morphate will present the recommendation pack to your organisation and assist in the selection and planning of various project phases.
Overall, the recommended solution for each component will be made up of one or more of the following types:
Standard / Out-of-the-box / Configuration
- Standard modules or features within Salesforce fulfil the immediate requirement
- Standard modules within Salesforce that require “point and click” configuration for customisation
- Custom modules that need to be configured (point and click) to meet specific structural or workflow requirements
Plug-ins / 3rd Party Tools / Salesforce Apps
- Add-on modules built on the Salesforce platform that require none or little configuration
- Cloud-based applications that have connectors into Salesforce (custom integration is not required)
Note: Some apps can be free or subscription-based and are included in overall costs outlined
Custom Code / Apex
- Custom code to build functions or integration between systems
In addition to our Solution delivery methodology, Morphate utilises a structured implementation approach to ensure that the Salesforce platform can continue to be adapted and utilised across the entire organisation to meet future requirements when they arise.
At Morphate we focus on delivering the solution in modules, which are then implemented in a phased approach with a view of being live as soon as possible. This drives the adoption of the new tools across the organisation.
Each phase may consist of one or more modules and will include:
- Detailed requirements gathering
- Solution review
- Configuration / build
- User testing
The phases will take into consideration dependencies and priority items and our recommended solutions are based on best practice use of standard Salesforce functionality. Where applicable, third-party tools will be recommended before any bespoke development is undertaken.
Your historical data is incredibly important. You need to be able to report on the lifetime value of donors and members, for example, and cant do that without your old data in the new system. However, if it is dirty, contains duplicates, and incomplete, it is of little value. We have services to clean, validate, verify, de-dupe and then map your existing data into your new Salesforce environment.
Configuration vs Customisation
Our approach is to ensure that we leverage the core Salesforce functionality to ensure our customers benefit from any enhancements released by Salesforce over time. Therefore, we focus on delivering solutions utilising the core functionality of Salesforce before considering Apps from the AppExchange, and then custom development utilising code.
Predominately over 85% of our implementations are delivered using point and click configuration. This provides a scalable solution that can easily be adapted over time by you, without the intervention of dedicated Salesforce consultants.
Any custom development is delivered using the Salesforce code and is available as open source. This will allow you to engage any Salesforce Developer, with the appropriate skills, to undertake future development if needed.
During any Go Live phase of the project, Morphate ensures at least two project team resources will be available to assist with any questions or issues. Further support is provided for the remainder of the first month using a case submission process. All issues are to be logged via a case which will be reviewed by the Morphate team.
Morphate provides full transparency on the status of the cases through a customer portal allowing you to review and comment on any open case. Morphate will continue to provide local support for the implemented products, with further support provided by the product companies as needed.
In-depth staff training sessions and Train-the-Trainer sessions are recommended. Train the Trainer will ensure someone is available to assist end users after launch.
It is also highly recommended a champion/administrator is appointed for Salesforce to ensure adoption and continuous process improvement.
We recommend that each end user have the following:
- Classroom session for each module
- One 1 hour follow-up session one week after Go Live
- Complete Salesforce online training Modules in Trailhead
Train-the-Trainer sessions include:
- In-depth 8-hour training to System Admin for each module
- A follow-up session answering questions
Delivery of training:
- Classroom training is the ideal way to achieve the maximum impact with staff training
- All training is hands-on and scenario-based so it’s relevant to the staff member attending

Morphate was formed with a particular mission, to change the Nonprofit vertical, and this can only be achieved if we build a team that is focused on our customers and challenge the standard way a consulting firm engages with customers.
Every person on our team has a background in NFP from either working in an NFP, companies providing services to NFPs or a passion to help transform the NFP sector. Each person has been selected to ensure they have the same ideals and deliver on those ideals.
In addition to the above, Morphate’s executive team will meet on a regular basis with your project team and undertake health checks of both the project and how our team are performing.
Furthermore, it is best practice to form a Steering Committee for the life of the project, and for Morphate to hold a seat on this Steering Committee to ensure the bigger picture is being delivered along with the project deliverables. This is part of our service and you will not be charged for this effort as we see it as being vital to a successful project.
